Why Nutrition Coaching?
Because quite simply diets don’t work. Or they might work for a little while, but inevitably the weight comes back on when you stop dieting (or fall off the diet wagon for the hundredth time). This program works differently by addressing underlying habits and psychology surrounding food, as well as providing education about sensible, sound and scientifically based food choices. Through the lessons and our discussions, you will tune in to your body and address the triggers that often lead you to make poor food choices then develop resiliency and skills to bounce back when you have setbacks. There is no quackery here. No extreme diets and no magic pills.
No cookie-cutter programs
I've been coaching people for long enough to realize that one size does NOT fit all. Nutrition is more than calories in and calories out. People are unique with different body types, metabolisms, time constraints and struggles. Eat Paleo? No problem. Vegetarian – yep that's fine too. I don’t prescribe a particular way of eating, nor recommend a specific brand of supplements. Programs are structured to include your preferred food choices and lifestyle.

Working with my coach, I feel more confident in my food choices and more in control of my emotional eating. In the past, I would feel overwhelmed after a few months then begin self-sabotaging my efforts. Now Laurel helps me understand why I do this and discusses techniques to use when I feel that way.
I'm learning how to eat real foods-not pills, not diet food and I'm losing weight without feeling hungry! I love the workouts because they're super easy to follow but I can feel it working. The habit and workout tracking keeps me motivated because I can check off what I've done and see my progress. I find that I am more consistent and focused when I listen in to the lessons and am learning new ways to make healthy choices regardless of how crazy my life is.
